It’s the New Year as one would expect to see it should
present another opportunity to begin afresh and see how life can be better
lived. For many times like this would remind of their past failures in
resolutions and commitments.
There are a myriad of success systems that have been designed
to guarantee a fulfilling year and life. One of the major of reasons for the
large failure recorded by many is in the fact they are structured in a way that
it puts the focus on YOU.
As the new year unfolds we all have dreams and hopes and
there is nothing wrong if we have them even as at this time. God created you
uniquely; there is no other person alive like you. God gave you the ability to
dream. It’s in your option to dream big, because you are created in His very
image and likeness. God’s life has been breathed into you, this includes in His
creativity.
Many people live their lives doing things they don’t like
doing. They think that when they retire they can then do what they always
wanted; then they can “afford” to do it. They end up wasting many years because
they could not see fulfilling their God-given dream as a possibility.
Many are afraid of stepping into their God-given dreams and
so they try to manage their lives into an acceptable model that ensures that
they just get by. One of the reasons they accomplish nothing worthy at the
close of every year. This vicious cycles continues over and over again. But there
is a way out of it.
Jesus said in John 10:10 “I came that they may have and
enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).” (AMP) Before
his coming success was entirely dependent on men’s efforts. What that systems
produces guilt and condemnation that burdens people out of the quest to fulfill their dreams. What Jesus offers is a quality of life that is not defined by
efforts but relationship. A relationship that implies a connection to possibilities
beyond our human comprehension.
The cross of Christ has changed the timeline where those believe
receive in the quality of life that exists in Jesus. Ordinary men have become
extraordinary. Having this revelation can only come through understanding that
you are and always were priceless to God, loved unconditionally, and have been
made righteous in Him. You cannot have a quality relationship with God under the
burden of guilt.
There is no guilt or condemnation for those who are in Christ
(Romans 8:1). Living in His grace, (not law, nor a mixture of law and grace), will
empower you to see your dream come to pass. This is the fulfillment of the
promise that all things are possible.
When Jesus said that “All things are possible to them that believe”.
Believe what? Is it to believe in themselves or their potential? No. They believe
that we have been perfectly redeemed and restored to our original design; we
are the God kind. Our faith is a persuasion that what Jesus completed is now
ours.
This faith of His, or persuasion of the truth, can only be
fully realized in knowing His unconditional love for us! This is what casts out
fear, bringing us from death to life, for it is His perfect love! Knowing God’s
true unconditional love for us is a essential to be fully persuaded that we can
do all things. The revelation of His love is the key to making the most of the New
Year or a successful life.
Achieving success is no longer a function of our striving
and painstaking efforts. That can only bring us to the place where the glory
comes to us. Many times it comes at the expense of our important relationships and
health. When we embrace the gospel of grace the veil falls of our eyes. The abundant
life that has been promised to us is realized in this: He gave me His life!
YES, HIS VERY LIFE!! Now I have a life of rest, my greatest dream is realized
and fulfilled as I grow in my understanding of my new amazing identity -
therefore making my life dream a reality, effortlessly. Why? Grace tells me to
submit to his glorious plan of making things work out for us.
